Doctor
Adina Zapodeanu
was
born in Romania
where she received an MD Degree
and graduated from a Residency
in Ophthalmology.
She moved to the United States with her family and has been a
Sherwood Resident since 2000.
Doctor Zapodeanu
graduated with
distinction from the Pacific
University College of Optometry, while receiving
the Beta Sigma Kappa Award for exceptional research based on Dry Eye
Syndrome
Thesis.
After
graduation Doctor
Zapodeanu fulfilled her one year Residency
with advanced clinical competency in Family
Practice Optometry at Northeastern Oklahoma College of Optometry.
In
December 2006 Dr.
Zapodeanu received the title of Fellow
of the American Academy
of Optometry as a result of an oral examination and her
continuous research and
publications at the national optometric meetings. Her areas of
focus were uveitis, diabetic
retinopathy, dry eye syndrome, and herpetic eye diseases.
Doctor Zapodeanu’s
husband,
Gabriel, is a System Engineer.
They have two
children, Stephan and Matthew.
